MoEHE’s plan to ensure quality education for all

Doha, Qatar: The strategic plan of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) for the new academic year 2023-24 will ensure quality education to all from early education to higher studies, said a top official.

“The main feature of the strategic plan that we are trying to implement this year begins by making education accessible to all students in Qatar,” said Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi.

In a video message posted by the Government Communication Office (GCO) on the X platform (formerly Twitter), Al Nuaimi said: “We seek to develop the education provided to our students to meet international standards.”

“We must care for the teachers by developing them and providing training and other insensitive encouraging them to keep serving,” he added.

He said that it is also necessary to arm them with various technological and educational resources. “The education strategy will focus initially on early education followed by general education stage and top-level university education, by providing exceptional higher education in Qatar that aligns with international standards leading to constant ongoing education,” said Al Nuaimi.

He said that the Ministry aim to demonstrate through this comprehensive framework of objectives that the state of Qatar values education and offers it to all levels with the same quality and priority level.

The new academic year 2023-24 began yesterday in Qatar where hundreds of thousands of students return to their schools and higher institutions smoothly. With the beginning of the new academic year, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has made intensive efforts to develop policies related to students’ physical, psychological, and social well-being and the empowerment of students with disabilities.

The development of policies and services provided to students and enhanced communication with their parents.

The new policies respond to observations and suggestions from school principals, teachers, and experts in the educational field and will significantly impact enhancing students’ academic achievements.

The Ministry will launch quality programmes to improve preschool education, expand the role of nurseries, and raise societal awareness of the early education phase.

The Ministry successfully completed many goals while continuing to work to achieve the rest of the desired goals in light of the continuous evaluation of the Ministry’s strategy.

The education projects aimed at enhancing the academic achievement of students and developing the curriculum to master foundational and future skills that align with advancements and technological progress.

Meanwhile, the Back-to-School campaign which is running at the Mall of Qatar under the slogan “My School is My Second Home will conclude tomorrow.

The campaign aims to prepare children for the new school year to be a successful academic year for all our students.

The campaign also includes various recreational activities purposeful educational games, in addition to the presence of a volunteer trainer in the field of sports and physical activity.
