Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) called on students to enjoy their educational journey and seize all available opportunities to fulfill their dreams, on the occasion of the new academic year 2023/2024.

The Ministry congratulated students and parents on the start of the academic year 2023/2024, wishing them a year full of achievements, while stressing its full readiness to support them.

On this occasion, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Maha Zayed Al Ruwaili emphasized the primary role of school leaders in guiding and inspiring students and teachers, and expressed confidence in their abilities to address challenges.

Al Ruwaili appreciated the achievements made in the past academic year, hoping that this year will be distinguished by all standards.

About 132,000 male and female students in 279 public schools and kindergartens went to school today in addition to other students in private schools and kindergartens, which have completed all preparations to receive them.

Last Sunday, administrative cadres and teaching staff at schools started work in order to make the necessary preparations to receive students and distribute class schedules and textbooks that have already been printed.

The MoEHE is organizing the Back-to-School campaign under the slogan "My School is My Second Home." The campaign will continue until August 29. It was preceded by the three-day 2023/2024 annual educational meeting.

Preparations for the new academic year took place with full cooperation and coordination between the MoEHE and the Ministry of Interior to ensure the safety and security of students in the vicinity of schools and kindergartens.
