Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 208 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 220 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 115017
Out of the 208 new cases, 198 are community cases and 10 from travelers returning from abroad.
On August 27, MoPH reported 246 new confirmed cases of Covid-19. 230 of these were from community cases and 16 from travelers returning from abroad
Ministry announced one new death of a person aged 60, who were receiving medical care.
All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 118,196 and there are 2938 active cases under treatment. So far, 196 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.
Ministry conducted 5,096 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 614,354tests. There are 46 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.
Four patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 68.
While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
Adherence to physical distancing.
Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
Wearing a face mask.
Washing hands regularly.
