Doha: Ministry of Labour has called upon all employers to observe safety procedures on worksites and to use devices to measure wind speed and stop crane operations when limits are exceeded in order to protect the safety of workers.
This comes due to the current weather conditions where some parts of Qatar received thundery rain with Southeasterly- Northeasterly strong wind ranging from 08 - 18KT gusting to 35Kt during the thundery rain as well as poor visibility.
On their official handle on Twitter, MOL said that inspectors will make visits to ensure that safety procedures are in place.
On their part, Qatar Meteorology Department shared safety tips for people to follow during thundery rain.
