Doha: The Postal Consignments Customs at Air Cargo and Airports Customs administration thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotic pills into Qatar.
Customs shared photos on social media of the seized captagon tablets which were hidden inside a shipment of bags and accessories for women. A total of 887 pills were discovered in between the ends of a bag.
It further stated that legal action was immediately taken and an arrest report was made.
A few days ago, Customs also thwarted an attempt to smuggle banned pills into the country. A total of 179 tramadol pills were found hidden inside a shipment as well.
