Gaza: The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip has announced that the Israeli occupation has targeted 26 charitable food banks and 37 aid centers since the beginning of its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
The media office said in a statement Friday that Israels attacks reflect a deliberate campaign to starve more than 2.4 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
It reported that the occupation has continued its siege of Gaza for nearly a month, preventing the entry of humanitarian and relief aid, including fuel trucks, which increases the suffering of the population.
It noted that the entry of 200,000 tents and 60,000 caravans to shelter displaced families has been prevented, and that the occupation is obstructing the entry of heavy equipment needed to remove rubble and recover the bodies of martyrs.
The office emphasized that the blockade imposed on Gaza continues a systematic policy of starvation and deprivation that has lasted for 18 years, reaching unprecedented levels of brutality. Food and medicine sources are under attack, and humanitarian aid is blocked, threatening a humanitarian catastrophe for more than 2.4 million people amidst international silence and the inability of relief organizations to carry out their role.
It condemned the occupation's continued perpetration of the crime of genocide, holding the occupation and the US administration fully responsible for the catastrophic and unprecedented deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The state media called on all free countries of the world to condemn these acts, which international law defines as crimes against humanity, warning that persisting in such a brutal and criminal policy will only cause more suffering and slow death for civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The government media called on the international community, the United Nations, and all human rights and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to halt these crimes, end the unjust blockade, and hold the occupation accountable for acts that amount to genocide against the Palestinian people.
