Qatar’s motorsport icon Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah delivered a dominant performance at the 2025 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, the second round of the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), securing his fifth win in the history of the prestigious event.
Teaming up with co-driver Edouard Boulanger in their Dacia Sandrider, Al Attiyah concluded the five-stage rally with a total time of 14hr 26min 55sec.
The victory marks Al Attiyah’s eighth win in 16 rounds of the W2RC as he regained the championship lead with a commanding 91 points, 19 points ahead of his closes rival Yazeed Al Rajhi.
Toyota Gazoo Racing’s Lucas Moraes/Armand Monleon and Seth Quintero/Dennis Zenz finished second and third respectively in the overall standings after a dramatic final day in which Al Attiyah won the last stage by 1:47.
