Doha: The cabinet approved today the draft decree licensing to build a petrol station near the Hamad International Airport (HIA).
The approval was given to Qatar Fuel (Woqod) to the use of the land around HIA to build a petrol station.
Earlier last month, Woqod opened Al Egla and Lusail petrol stations taking the total number of Woqod petrol stations in the country to 60.
Woqod is currently engaged in 30 petrol station projects, most of these projects are expected to be operational this year.
Also, Woqod had announced on Sunday (Feb 25), the opening of Fahes vehicle inspection centre in Al-Shahaniya.
The 4 lane station has a capacity to inspect all Light vehicles, Light commercial vehicles and Buses up to 26 seater capacity using the latest high technology equipment and integrated systems ensuring fast and accurate assessments of vital vehicle safety systems.
