To make it easy for people to identify the environmental protection patrols, the Environmental Protection, Nature Reserves and Wildlife Department has presented a proposal to authorities for changing the patrols colours.
“During our participation in the Qatari National Environmental Day, our department has introduced new colour to environmental patrols and representing Qatari environment”, said Omar Salem Al Nuaimi, Director of Environmental Protection, Nature Reserves and Wildlife Department of the Ministry. “The new look consists of three colours which are blue colour depicting marine environment, brown represents wild environment and green shows plant farms”, Al Nuaimi.
“We are waiting for the approval from the authorities concerned of the Ministry of Municipality and the Traffic Department under the Ministry of Interior,” he added.
The aim of the new look is show the environmental identity of Qatar, and thus patrols would not need showing their ID cards because people would be able to notice and identify the vehicles. The models of the vehicles have been displayed at Katara during the Qatari Environmental Day.
