Live music, spring festival, Spanish cultural event are few of the interesting events happening on the last weekend of the year. Which one are you planning to attend?

Kumar Sanu Live Concert

Bollywood music lovers will be taken back to the 90s this weekend as melody king Kumar Sanu visits Qatar for a live concert.

The tickets for the show are priced from QR75 to QR300 and can be purchased online at Wanasa Time.

Souq Waqif Spring Festival

Souq Waqif Spring Festival brings games and rides along with concerts and shows, including a circus show this year.

Dressed in their national costumes, groups of cultural performers from several countries in the region are leaving visitors in high spirits as they dance and sing to the accompaniment of native musical instruments.

Must watch is the circus show with acrobats, jugglers, magicians and other artistes coming from other countries showcasing their skills in their performances, in addition to entertaining animal acts. Tickets to the shows which are staged twice in the evening are QR30, QR50 and QR70.

Children as well as adults can play carnival skill games to win memorabilia and gifts at the 15 colourful stalls lined up at Al Ahmed Square, in addition to several rides for children. Both games and rides are priced QR10.

Adding to the festive mood, are the food carts at the venue with a wide array of scrumptious snacks to choose from such as Turkish ice cream, burgers, crepes, waffles and corn as well as beverages including juice, karak and coffee, among others.

Spain at Cultural Diversity Festival

As part of the Katara Cultural Diversity Festival, Spain will showcase its art forms – including dance and music this weekend at its amphitheatre.

The festival aims to act as bridge between cultures and provide a multicultural harmonious environment.

In addition to international folkloric groups, local bands from different communities in Qatar will also be performing during the festival.

The festival is free for everyone.

When: 7pm to 8pm; December 28 and 29

Mind 2 Mind

Renowned illusionists - James Harrington and Marina Argvliani will show the audience with their performance the power of mind. They will perform multiple feats of mental dexterity at the Ooredoo stage of Mall of Qatar, promising to wow the audience viewing.

When: Daily two shows - 7pm and 8:30pm; On until January 5.

Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2019

The countdown to the Qatar ExxonMobil Open to be held at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha has begun.

A host of world’s top players including Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka, Dominic Thiem, Nikolov Basilashvili, David Goffin, Karen Khachanov and Marco Cecchinato are lined up to be at the event.

Tickets for the event are currently on sale online or onsite at the City Centre, Landmark and Villaggio malls.

Mahaseel Festival

Katara will launch the Mahaseel shopping festival starting December 31 where 22 local farms, flowers nursery and six other national companies for milk and meat products will be participating. Qatari farms will also be selling variety of natural honey and dates.
