Registration for double promotion for upper grades in schools to open on Sunday

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced that the registration for the double promotion  allowing students to leap to the upper grade after undergoing certain tests will open on Sunday

 The service of double promotion system ‘Tasaro’ will be launched on June 30, 2024 at ‘Maarif’ Public Services Portal of the MoEHE.

The system will allow the students who passed in the first round exams for the academic year 2023-24 of all nationalities in public schools and those private schools which follow national standards to apply for the second round exams in the same year to move on to upper grade, according to specific conditions and criteria.

As per the conditions of double promotion system of 2023-24, the beneficiary students of day schools are required to be passed with 85 percent and above and students of adult and home education with 75 percent and above in the first round of the exams.

The students who passed in the second batch of adult education will undergo exams of third batch of adult education to move to grade 7 after passing the exams.

The students who passed third batch of adult education will have to pass the exams of grade 7 to move to grade 8. The students who passed grade 4 will have to pass exams of grade 5 to move to grade 6.

The students who passed grade 5 will have to pass exams of grade 6 to move to grade 7. The students who passed grade 6 will have to pass exams of grade 7 to move to grade 8.

The students who passed grade 7 will have to pass exams of grade 8 to move to grade 9. The students who passed grade 8 will have to pass exams of grade 9 to move to grade 10. The students who passed grade 9 will have to pass exams of grade 10 to move to grade 11.

The double promotion system comes as a move to shorten school years, according to the experts.
