Doha: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will be on the jury panel of the 75th anniversary Cannes Film Festival, which will start on May 17, along with seven others and French actor Vincent Lindon as the president.
The panel includes Rebecca Hall, Noomi Rapace, Jasmine Trinca, Asghar Farhadi, Ladj Ly, Jeff Nichols, and Joachim Trier
Vincent Lindon with his eight jury members will reward one of the 21 films in competition with the Palme d'Or, on Saturday, May 28, during the closing ceremony.
Deepika Padukone is rumored to be making a big splash at Cannes this year, as part of her collaboration with Louis Vuitton according to the popular anonymous Instagram account 'Diet Sabya'.
Besides Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kangana Ranaut, and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja have been a constant presence on the Cannes red carpet.
Other Bollywood celebrities who have attended Cannes earlier include Amitabh Bachchan with his wife Jaya Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddique, Saif Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, and a few others.
