Health Minister urges public to stay at home

Doha: Minister of Public Health H E Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari urged everyone to stay at home and go out only for essential things. 

In post on Ministry of Public Health’s twitter handle Minister can be seen holding a poster saying ‘I Stay at Work for You, You Stay at Home for Us’

Minister “is asking members of the public to please stay at home to help protect the more vulnerable members of our population to go out only for essential things,’ the statement said.

Earlier, a group of healthcare leaders in Qatar had joined the global, 'Stay home, save lives' campaign encouraging the public to help to curb the spread of the COVID- 19 by limiting their social interactions.

The social media campaign by Ministry of Public Health has published a series of photographs of healthcare practitioners and others at the forefront of the COVID -19 fight in the country. The photos, posted on social media featured healthcare practitioners holding a sheet of paper that read messages urging the public to stay at home.
