DOHA/BEIJING: Qatar Petroleum (QP), along with some of its joint ventures and subsidiaries as well as its Industrial Cities Directorate, is taking part in the 6th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC), which formally opened yesterday at the Beijing International Convention Center in China, said a press statement said.
QP will be the host organisation of the next edition of the event (7th IPTC) scheduled to be held next year in Doha from January 20-22 at the Qatar National Convention Center.
This year’s event is hosted by the China National Petroleum Corporation, with ExxonMobil Corporation serving as the co-host.
The three-day conference and exhibition is being held with the theme “Challenging Technology and Economic Limits to Meet the Global Energy Demand,” and it has attracted the participation of over 5,000 delegates from all over the world.
The delegation from Qatar is led by Abdulrahman Al Obaidly, Manager for Public Relations and Communications. Also attending the event are senior QP officials including Mubarak Awaida Al Hajri, Operations Manager, Offshore Fields.
QP is one of the major participants in the IPTC 2013 exhibition, which covers a total area of over 2,500 sq m. The QP stand prominently showcases the corporation’s operations including those of its Industrial Cities Directorate, and it also highlights the activities of RasGas, Qatargas, and Qapco.
