Doha: Vodafone Qatar has been announced as the ‘Official Telecom Partner’ of the first edition of Katara International Arabian Horse Festival, organised by Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) from February 2 to 6.
The sponsorship comes in continuation of the role Vodafone Qatar has been playing in supporting Qatar’s outstanding role in hosting local and international events across sports, entertainment and culture.
The Company’s state-of-the-art network is increasing playing a vital part in delivering an excellent experience for event participants and the seamless connectivity needed by event organisers.
Commenting on the festival partnership, Abdulla Ali Al-Misnad, Head of Business Development, Vodafone Qatar, said: “Vodafone is delighted to be supporting the first edition of Katara International Arabian Horse Festival.
The Arabian purebred have a significant place in our culture in the State of Qatar and in our Arab and Islamic history, and for this we are committed to joining in the country’s efforts to build global awareness about these majestic horses and the equestrian expertise we have in Qatar.”
The five-day festival features various educational and entertainment activities for equine enthusiasts and the public such as exhibitions, live art and parades, in addition to food and beverage stalls.
The highlight of the festival is the ‘Title Show’ featuring more than 200 magnificent purebred Arabian horses belonging to owners in the region and Europe with prize money that is one of the highest for such an event at a total QR13m.
