Over 30 families to showcase products in Qatar Chamber expo

More than 30 productive families will showcase their products at the Souq Hal Qatar exhibition which will be organised by Qatar Chamber in cooperation with Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall.
The month-long expo, that will begin from November 8, aims to support productive families and home-made and handcrafts entrepreneurs, through providing a platform for local micro-enterprises to showcase a wide range of goods produced by home-based businesses including clothes, food, perfumes and accessories.
“We believe in supporting the Qatari productive families, as they play a vital role in creating a sustainable and diversified economy,” said Sheikh Suhaim bin Khalid Al Thani, Chairman, Hyatt Plaza, stressing the importance of supporting such families to become small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
He added that Souq Hal Qatar exhibition is part of providing conducive environment to market Qatari home-based products and encouraging home-based projects in compliance with the wise leadership’s vision to diversify economy and to achieve self-reliance in various industries.
Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri, Qatar Chamber’s Assistant Director General for Governmental and International relations, said the expo comes as part of the chamber’s commitment to supporting productive families and helping them to promote and develop their own products. He noted that the exhibition aims at developing Qatari home-made businesses and providing a good opportunity for entrepreneurs to display their products to reach all local consumers.
Qatar Chamber has already facilitated the participation of productive families in a number of exhibitions such as Made in Qatar, Made in China and Expo Turkey, adding that assuring that has helped them to develop their products and opened new external channels for marketing their products.
