The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the e-Learning Department in the Curriculum Standards Office, held yesterday the first meeting of the e-project coordinators with the participation of over 200 coordinators in public schools of all three stages.
The meeting discussed the developments in the field of e-learning, the values of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and general recommendations for project coordinators, as well as the introduction of the eight e-learning projects for this year, namely the learning management system, tablets, interactive projectors, video tutorials, e-content, Microsoft educational community, digital education and an exercise website.
It is an educational platform that provides learning resources for students ages 8 to 18, all linked to Qatar’s curriculum and can be used flexibly by teachers within a class, or in the form of introductory activities or homework, with resources including films, tests, study plans and worksheets. Emphasis was placed on the most important points in the guide on activating e-learning projects in public schools, as well as introducing vocational learning communities, with the aim of training first-level teachers (1-3 years) to employ technology in the classroom, in addition to addressing the various initiatives implemented by the department.
This includes addressing the various initiatives implemented by the section in cooperation with the concerned authorities in the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and emphasizing the importance of spreading the values of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, including innovation, excellence, participation, transparency and accountability.
