Doha, Qatar: First destination for the Teachers’ Fellowship Programme (experiences) will be Finland for mathematics, science and English specialisations.
The programme run by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) aims to send Qatari teachers to countries with advanced education systems to enhance their teaching skills and expertise.
MoEHE has announced the commencement of the application process for the “Experiences” Teacher Fellowship Programme. The announcement was made during an extensive informational session attended by over 100 teachers and subject coordinators. Director of Training and Development Center, MoEHE, Iman Salman Al Mohannadi said the first destination for the fellowship programme will be Finland.
“The nomination for the programme in its first edition will be according to specific requirements. The requirements include the teacher being a mathematics, science, or English specialist with a very good evaluation for the last three years, experience ranging from 3 to 5 years, and obtaining a recommendation from his school,” said Al Mohannadi.
He said the announcement came in the presentation during the meeting, which targeted teachers and subject coordinators to introduce them to the fellowship programme and inform them of its advantages, requirements, and application conditions.
Al Mohannadi invited Qatari teachers wishing to apply for the programme to apply via the programme’s webpage within the specified period.
The “Experiences” programme is one of the pioneering educational initiatives launched by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education at the start of this academic year.
It aligns with the goals and objectives of the human development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The programme aligns with QNV 2030 goals. The fellowship programme was announced during the annual educational meeting as part of the activities of the start of the new academic year 2023-2024.
