A-list celebrities including fashion designer Victoria Beckham models Jourdan Dunn, Naomi Campbell and Shanina Shaik, singer-songwriter and supermodel Carla Bruni and actress Alessandra Ambrosio amongst others will be in Doha on March 28, a statement by the organisers said.
The celebrities will be in town for the celebration of the highly-anticipated awards ceremony at Fire Station hosted by Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) – a non-profit initiative focused on finding, funding and nurturing design talent in the MENA region.
Attending the event’s red-carpet ceremony will be a number of very well-known fashion industry figures including Pierpaolo Piccoli from Valentino, Olivier Rousteing from Balmain, Net-a-Porter Natalie founder Massnet and Diane Von Furstenberg.
After months of rigorous inquiry and over 250 submissions, 25 designers were selected for the finals. From this group, five winners are set to be awarded with prizes on March 28 during the glittering awards ceremony and gala dinner.
The awards follow an intensive judging process involving some of the world’s most significant and influential busi-ness and fashion leaders to select inspiring, talented and deserving young designers from the Arab world.
