Chairman of the General Authority of Customs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal with officials and employees during National Sport Day activities yesterday.
Doha, Qatar: The General Authority of Customs organised multiple sporting events at the Old Doha Port area on the occasion of National Sport Day as part of its keenness to participate in all events that constitute added value to society.
Chairman of the General Authority of Customs, H E Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal, his assistants, and a number of department directors and employees of the Authority, participated in the activities held, which included practicing walking, organizing a football match, and a number of other sporting activities.
The Authority’s participation in the activities of the National Sports Day comes as an embodiment of the vision of partnership with various institutions and official bodies, in order to advance the culture of sports and health awareness, and enhance its practice to become a lifestyle and daily behaviour in society, in a way that helps build an integrated human being, capable of contributing to the process of development and construction, and achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030, of which the human being is considered the most important pillar.
The Authority is keen to actively participate in the National Sport Day, due to the importance of this occasion in spreading the spirit of cooperation and teamwork among members of society and its institutions in a way that contributes to the development of its human resources, through many factors, the most prominent of which is the promotion of the culture of sports and health, which forms part of the state’s vision towards building a better society. Sports are no longer an ordinary practice, but rather a civilised behaviour upon which balance between various aspects of life is established.
