DOHA: KPMG, the global network of professional firms providing audit, tax and advisory services, hosted a major client reception on Wednesday evening to celebrate its 35th year of operation in Qatar.
More than 1,100 senior government and private sector leaders as well as local and international KPMG partners and managers attended the reception held at the Ritz Carlton.
KPMG in Qatar, managing partner, Jamal Fakhro, said: “We felt it was important that we celebrate our 35th year by thanking our government and private sector clients for all the support granted to us during these years,”.
KPMG expects to double the size of its practice in the next few years and is leveraging the full strength of its global firm to support its local team and clients.
KPMG’s local office provides a diverse range of specialist services in areas such as audit, corporate finance and restructuring, management consulting, risk consulting and tax. It has some of the brightest industry specialists in many of the areas, relevant to Qatar’s National Vision 2030.
Fakhro said KPMG works with over 800 leading Qatar organisations. “KPMG has established strong relationships within the business community which has helped us develop a deep understanding of Qatar’s values and culture.”
Attendees included board members, CEO’s, business leaders from Qatar’s leading organizations and KPMG’s Global Chairman Michael Andrew. The event was also attended by KPMG representatives from the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
