With the weekend upon us and the weather being so favorable we have lined up a few interesting events for you all ranging from outdoor events and indoor exhibitions.

Upside Down Show

Mall of Qatar is hosting the world famous Kai Leclerc who walks upside-down, with his feet stuck to the ceiling and his head pointed to the ground, 9 meters below!

In this breath-taking performance, he combines fine humor with physical virtuosity.

He walks, dances, sings and juggles, all upside-down.

No tickets needed.

Arab Arms: From Past to Present

MIA has organized a special exhibition lecture by Abdullatif Al Nakkas, a Kuwaiti private collector and expert in Arab arms and armour, in celebration of MIA’s special exhibition Powder & Damask; Islamic arms and armour from the private collection of Fadel Al Mansoori.

This lecture will focus on the production of arms and armour produced specifically in the Arabian world both past and present. He will explore the origins of these objects, general designs and explain what makes them uniquely Arab.

Qatar Running Series Winter Edition 2018

The events will take place in MIA Park and comprise of distances ranging from 3K to 10K.  All events will be run on short courses with multiple laps and will be restricted to a maximum of 130 participants. The event will contain 5 races. There will be trophies for the top 3 finishers (male / female) in 10K, 5K & 3K for juniors.

The price of the tickets for adults (16+) is QR 100 and juniors (U-16) is QR 50.

'The Other Side of Hope'

'The Other Side of Hope' by Aki Kaurismäki is a bittersweet tale of human kindness in the face of official indifference. It will be the first screening of the year by DFI.

The film is part of 'Contemporary Releases', a selection of the latest internationally and regionally acclaimed films. The series will include recent festival favourites, as well as the emerging new voices of DFI granted filmmakers.

The price for the tickets are QR 35 and QR25 for students and culture pass by Qatar Museums

Color Run 2018

Color Run is hosting its 4th edition in Qatar this year with the theme The Dream World Tour. Participants can choose to run, walk, jog or skip around the five-kilometer course with their family and friends. The highly anticipated Foam Zone will make Color Runners feel on top of the world, as they enjoy a brand new color, and as always, get covered from head to toe in an array of colors.

In addition to having access to a day of fun, each Color Runner will receive a fun participant kit, which includes a limited edition Dream World Tour race shirt, embroidered headband, a fun temporary tattoo, rainbow pencil and some awesome goodies from sponsors. Deluxe Runners will receive the kit plus a Gold bib, a wristband, tutu, party socks and sunglasses for the ultimate Color Runner look on the day. Runners can look forward to ending their race with the Finish Festival where the crowd will be part of the world famous color throws.

The price ranges from Regular- QR200, Deluxe- QR300 and for children below the age of 5 QR50.
