Katara Publishing releases 4th issue of ‘Culture’ magazine

Doha: The Katara Publishing House has released the fourth issue of the quarterly magazine Culture. The issue includes cultural, heritage, and artistic topics, in addition to the country’s tourist attractions, and the most prominent events that took place during the past three months.

The magazine has allocated a space for the cover topic related to the official song of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 by conducting interviews with Qatari artists who performed the song titled “Hayya Hayya,” in partnership with international artistes.

The issue includes an interesting topic about the heritage of falconry, through a lengthy conversation with Muhammad Abdul Latif Al Misnad, Vice-President of the Al Gannas Association. 

On culture, the magazine has conducted an exclusive interview with the management team of the French Cultural Centre.

On the artistic side, it has dealt with a dialogue with the plastic artist Ahmed Al Maadeed, during which he talked about his artistic experience, the most prominent of which is the idea of ​​​​releasing “Tamim Al Majd” paintings. The magazine also has highlighted the animated series Kawkabani produced by the Doha Film Institute.

With regard to events and initiatives, the issue has dealt with the “Green Island” initiative launched by Qatar Foundation and concerned with preserving the environment by focusing on recycling operations and in the area of ​​Qatar’s landmarks. In addition to conducting an interview with Abdullah Yousef Al Mulla, Director of the Olympic Museum, the magazine also has touched on the “Qatar Innovates” initiative, which talks about the activities of Qatar Museums in terms of exhibitions and workshops held during the year. The issue has addressed the “Explore Qatar” programme sponsored by Qatar Airways, and the role of the national carrier in reviving tourism in Qatar.

In the space devoted to dialogues, the magazine has conducted an interview with the Japanese ambassador, during which he talked about the advanced relations between Qatar and Japan in all fields.
