Campaign posters to support victims of Beirut blast at Carrefour Qatar.
Carrefour Qatar has responded to the catastrophic incident that rocked the Lebanese capital, Beirut, with the launch of a donation initiative to provide essential aid to those who need it.
From August 23 to 29, Carrefour Qatar will donate QR1 to Qatar Red Crescent Society’s (QRCS) ‘Lebanon in Our Hearts’ campaign each time a customer buys a Carrefour labelled product, said Carrefour in a statement.
Carrefour is also empowering the public to help those affected by the August 4 blast in Beirut. Customers will have the opportunity to make a donation to Qatar Red Crescent at any Carrefour store. Alternatively, customers can visit the Carrefour Qatar website to donate online.
Carrefour was one of the first respondents to offer help to the affected people of Beirut through Carrefour Lebanon, providing food and essential supplies to the NGOs supporting victims and participating in the mass cleaning of the city.
