Palembang: Qatar’s Julio Cesar Do Nascimento Junior/Ahmed Tuan Janko team claimed third place at AVC Beach Tour Palembang Open, which concluded here on Saturday.
In the third-place playoff, the Qatar team confronted a daunting challenge from Ben O’Dea/Hartles to cruise past the New Zealanders in close three sets 21-15 18-21 15-12.
The Qatari pair ended their campaign at AVC Beach Tour Satun Pak Bara Open in the fourth place, following their defeat at the hands of Australian pair Joshua Court and Damien Schumann.
