Kuwait reports three cases of coronavirus

Kuwait: The Kuwait Ministry of Health announced today that the initial tests conducted on people coming from Mashhad in Iran have shown three people infected with the new virus COVID19.

Kuwait News Agency KUNA reported the three people, first in the Gulf state, were among the 700 evacuated from the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad last week. 

The ministry said in a press statement that the first case is a 53-year-old Kuwaiti citizen and the second is a 61-year-old Saudi citizen, and third a 21 year old Bidoon (stateless) boy. 

The health condition of these people until now is normal and they did not show any symptoms of the disease. There are initial indications of symptoms of the disease and that all three cases are quarantined and under constant observation by the medical staff. 

The official emphasized that the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the relevant bodies and authorities in the country, took the necessary precautions in accordance with the scientific recommendations, terms and conditions approved by the World Health Organization.
