Doha: Table toppers Al Sadd will look to extend their unbeaten run in the Qatar Stars League when they face ninth-placed Al Khor, in the eighth week, at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium today.
The Khor boys would hope for a miracle to happen in the match starting at 4pm against the league leaders who are in such dazzling form this season that they have increased their lead to eight points from second-placed Al Rayyan who have 13 from seven games, the same as Lekhwiya.
Al Sadd have hammered 22 goals and conceded seven from seven consecutive victories to race ahead with 21 points.
Al Rayyan have won four and lost two matches and drawn one, the same as Lekhwiya, who have scored 10 goals and conceded seven. Both teams have the same goal difference of three each. Rayyan have scored 14 goals and conceded 11.
Fourth-placed Eljaish (12 points) will face Al Wakrah on Friday at 4pm at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium and the third match of the day will be contested between Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa at 6.30pm at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium. QNA
