Doha: Philippines Overseas Labour Office (POLO) in Doha has now resumed accepting applications from those Filipinos in Qatar requiring financial assistance.
The applications for cash assistance under 'DOLE AKAP for OFWs Program' have to be submitted through the official website of POLO. The office also warned against submitting these applications directly to the office or to its email address as these will not be accepted by the office.

he applications submitted commencing from May 21 shall be in wait list and will be processed depending on availability of funds after paying out for the previous applications received from April 9 to 20 and April 21 to May 11, 2020.
Those wishing to apply for the aid will have to submit the application form available on the site, a copy of their passport, proof of employment and a proof of loss of employment.
OFWs who continue to receive salaries from their employers are not qualified under the programme.
