Doha: Ooredoo has announced its iPhone 12 series collection event, held at Khalifa Stadium yesterday, saw a huge turnout.

Thousands of iPhone 12 devices were sold via Ooredoo’s pre-order option, with stock selling out soon after pre-orders opened.

To ensure safety of all involved, the event’s tagline was ‘Collect your device from the safety of your car’, and staff distributed customers’ new iPhones directly to their vehicles. Customers were eager to collect their new iPhone 12, and their cars queued as soon as lines opened at the event. The first device was officially handed to Ooredoo ambassador Ghanem Al Muftah at the opening. A team of Ooredoo staff was on hand to ensure the process was smooth and efficient and in line with all current social distancing and safety guidelines.

An impressive firework display accompanied the event’s opening, in keeping with the atmosphere of excitement created by Apple fans keen to get their hands on the long-awaited new 5G devices. Chief Consumer Officer at Ooredoo Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, said, “We know being able to access the latest technology and the most covetable devices on the market is a huge priority for our customers. With complete customer satisfaction, our goal – we work tirelessly to ensure we can bring such products to Qatar as soon as they’re available. The launch of a new iPhone device always creates great excitement, and as always, we were proud to be at the centre of the hype.”

Customers pre-ordering a new iPhone 12 could also choose to collect their latest device from selected Ooredoo shops or have it delivered to their doorstep. Both options saw customers getting their hands on their new devices from 20 November.
