Qatar reports three Covid-19 deaths on Oct 22 as 235 patients recover

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 252 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 235 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 127,328. 

Out of the 252 new cases, 225 are community cases and 27 from travelers returning from abroad.

The Ministry also announced three deaths - aged 78,78 and 81 years old- who were receiving the necessary medical care.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

So far, 228 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 130,462 and there are 2,906 active cases under treatment. 



Ministry conducted 9,444 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 908,883  tests.

There are 41 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital 384.

Two patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 38.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing.

- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.

- Wearing a face mask.

- Washing hands regularly
