It will also help them improve their competence and skills in order to provide the highest standards of patient care, using the latest knowledge, theories and technology.
It will also provide training on how to do medical management and support in case of an emergency at major events.
In this regard initially, the Hamad International Training Center (HITC) at Hamad Medical Corporation will provide quality training through internationally certified courses for healthcare professionals and trainers at the MoI.

Also, several senior officials from the HMC and MoI were present during the event held at the Officers’ Club of Civil Defence Head Quarters.
“The key element of the agreement is unifying and collaborating our resources together, we at HMC as the prime provider of healthcare in Qatar is keen in sharing our knowledge. The Ministry of Interior has its healthcare services and expecting to expand it. We see this opportunity as quite fitting to support them,” said Dr Saifeldeen.
“Basically in phases we are going to help them develop an independent centre, with our training, expertise and international accreditation,” he added.
HITC will begin its training activities soon and the centre is expected to function independently within two years.
“We are here to support the Ministry. We will be going to the clinics and other facilities under the Medical Service Department. We try to make it similar as HITC, we are confident that in coming two years they can develop their own centre,” said Dr Saifeldeen.
Candidates who perform exceptionally well and exhibit instructor potential in their respected courses will be invited to attend an internationally certified instructor course.
The candidates will be evaluated in teaching skills.
