The Dukhan Bank, yesterday successfully listed its shares on Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main market. The ceremony took place at the QSE headquarters and was attended by many officials from QSE, Dukhan Bank, and Qatar’s financial market. In total, the number of listed companies in QSE’s main market has increased to 50 with the addition of the Dukhan Bank listing. 

The shares were listed through the “Direct Listing” mechanism, a common mechanism in all regional markets, which allows companies to be listed without an IPO. During the listing ceremony held at the QSE building.

Abdul Aziz Nasser Al-Emadi, Acting CEO of the Qatar Stock Exchange said that “The listing of this company will increase the depth of the market and unlock opportunities to expand our investor base and access to capital while providing investors with the opportunity to invest in leading Qatari companies.” 

He also highlighted the contentment of listing the bank as only the second firm to be listed on its main market through the direct listing mechanism.
Dukhan Bank’s shares 

were listed yesterday in the Banks and & Financial Services sector with the ticker DUBK. 

The opening cost of the stock market was QR4,000 and the last transaction price was QR2,992. 

The highest amount reached up to QR4,000 during the trading season, while the lowest amount to QR2,990. Right from the second day of the trading, the stock price is permitted to fluctuate by 10 percent, as is the case of other listed firms on the market. 

The QSE is making unremitting efforts to increase the number of companies listed on the stock exchange by raising awareness of the advantages of listing on the QSE’s market, Al Emadi added.
