Qatar reports drop in Covid-19 cases on Nov 21

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 174 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 186 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 134,100

Out of the 174 new cases, 139 are community cases and 35 from travellers returning from abroad.

So far, 235 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 137,062 and there are 2,727 active cases under treatment.

3,780 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (8,106 tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 1,075,890 tests.

There are 19 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients in the hospital to 281.

No one was admitted to intensive care, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical attention in intensive care currently to 35.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing

- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate

- Wearing a face mask

- Washing hands regularly
