Qatar Museums invites submissions to commemorate third anniversary of blockade

Qatar Museums along with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) have announced an open call to the various community in Qatar to submit pictures and videos to commemorate the third anniversary of the blockade. 

Qatar Museums chairperson HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani posted the invite on her instagram channel, adding that selected images and video will be projected onto Qatar's largest monument, the arches at Interchange 5/6 on the Lusail Expressway. 

The live installation will be projected on the night of June 5, 2020 and the work has to be submitted before June 1. "Share with us how you have experienced and witnessed the community's resilience and unity since the blockade," read the invite.

Residents and citizens have been asked to send large files to Qatar Museums email ([email protected] ) using a WeTransfer or Dropbox link and those whose work has been selected to be part of the live installation on the 5/6 arches will be notified via email.

The entries submitted after June 1 will also be accepted and added to the National Museum of Qatar's growing digital archive, stated the invite.
