Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department in its weather report has said that partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected this weekend with chances of rain from Thursday to the end of next week.
A state of atmospheric instability is expected to affect the country due to the extension of a low pressure system over the region with partly cloudy to cloudy skies forecasted to prevail between tomorrow Thursday, Feb 22, until the end of next week. There are chances of scattered light to moderate rain on Thursday and Friday.
Further, the chances of rain are expected to improve on Saturday and Sunday as conditions become favourable for thunder showers in some areas which may be accompanied with strong dust raising winds at times especially on Sunday.
Preliminary medium range forecasts suggest weak chances of rain on Monday with unsettled rainy weather conditions expected to resume again from Tuesday until the end of next week.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged all to be cautious and to check latest weather forecasts before going to sea, as well as following latest weather updates through official social media accounts.
