Doha: The criminal court sentenced a man in his twenties to three years in jail for harassing and threatening a woman through a messaging application.
Arabic daily Al Sharq reported that the convict stole the mobile phone from the women, a teacher, and threatened to share her private pictures on Whatsapp messenger.
The convict kept harassing the woman and threatened to send her pictures to her family unless she agreed to have an affair with him.
The court convicted the man and ordered deportation after serving the jail term.
