Doha: The Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) and Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) plan to hold a graduation ceremony for 25 professionals.

These professionals are graduates who have successfully completed the recent QFMA programme module 1 in ‘Introduction to Securities and Investments’ which is licensed by the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).

The graduation ceremony is an opportunity to honour those professionals who have successfully passed the course that is mandated by QFMA and helps improve the standard of professionals within the exchange market.

The ‘Introduction to Securities and Investments’ is one of the modules required by the QFMA for practitioners looking to obtain or renew their license to undertake any of the regulated functions.

Further, through this module graduates were introduced to the importance of the global investment industry. The module also examined the main investment products in the market as well as the changing roles of regulations and ethics.

QFBA and QFMA have moved a step further in achieving development of the human capital in the Qatari Financial sector towards attaining the national vision for 2030.

Dr Abdulaziz Al Horr the CEO of QFBA, said: “This graduation ceremony is a testament to QFBA’s vision to continue helping organisations on their journey while sharing the necessary knowledge, skills and experiences. QFBA recognises that learning needs to be designed around your needs and the needs of your organisation. And that the learning environment also needs to give professionals the time and space to think.”

The course is designed to positively impact participants to help improve the local standards of the key positions within the exchange market by making sure that key decision makers are highly certified and trained to meet an international level. Moreover, in preparation for the exam, QFBA offered a Preparatory Course on International Introduction to Securities and Investment which was available in English and Arabic. One of the main benefits of taking the study and exam preparation course is that it provides candidates with a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.

The Preparatory Course also reduces the amount of self study that is required by the candidate and students will be able to effectively prepare for the exam. Importantly, the course is delivered by CISI certified leading trainers. The Peninsula
