Umm Salal are eyeing their best show of the season so far as they face their toughest test yet in dangerous opponents - Al  Duhail - in their fifth round game of the QNB Stars League (QSL) at Al Gharafa Stadium tomorrow.
Both top-placed Al Duhail and Umm Salal (third) are yet to lose a game in the season apart from Al Sadd who are on second position.
While giants Al Duhail and Al Sadd were expected to start  the league on a high, Umm Salal kicked off their season surprisingly, notching up three impressive victories and a draw.
However, Umm Salal’s game against Al Duhail, who are in supreme form will be an uphill task for Mahmoud Jaber’s side and the coach is aware of the fact.
Jaber said his team will enter the match well prepared.
“I take all matches seriously and all points are important,” the Umm Salal coach said yesterday.
“We always prepare in right earnest and, this time, our preparations are harder as we run into champions and leaders Al Duhail,” said Jaber.
“We’ve had some tough matches so far in this season’s league, but the one against Al Duhail is going to be different. We’ve to further lift our game if we’re to win. We’re highly motivated for this game and I hope the players and fans of both teams will enjoy the action,” he said before promising a strong fight.
“Against Al Duhail, I can’t reveal the technical details, but one thing is sure. We’ll continue to put up strong performances. We’ll sorely miss Maher Yousef, who is still recovering from an injury, against Al Duhail,” he said.
The match will kick off at 5:25pm which will be followed by the game between Qatar SC and Ahli at Al Duhail Stadium at 7:35pm.
