Doha: Qatargas Chief Operating Officer, Commercial & Shipping, Alaa Abu Jbara, delivered a speech yesterday at the LNG 17 Conference being held at the George R Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.
In his speech, Abu Jbara explained how Qatargas has achieved and maintained its presence in the complex and competitive LNG market. He began by highlighting the success factors that have enabled Qatargas to realise its vision. His speech also underlined Qatargas’ reliability and flexibility as the world’s leading LNG supplier.
“One of the key achievements of Qatargas has been our ability to maintain reliable operations and LNG deliveries. Qatargas signs new supply commitments depending on emerging market trends. Over the past year, Qatargas has signed several new long-term LNG supply contracts with Asian buyers in response to changing market conditions,” he said.
Abu Jbara concluded his speech with a few observations regarding Qatargas and the evolving market stating that the LNG market has consistently experienced robust growth and the current strong demand from Asia and emerging markets requires increasing amounts of new supply.
