DOHA: Francisco J Sanchez, the US Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade recently received Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, Deputy Chairman of Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA), in his office in Washington.
The officials discussed issues related to joint investment in the private sectors of both the countries and agreed that a strong investment environment in both countries is attracting many international investors.
They also discussed the importance of developing bilateral cooperation between the finance and business communities which could lead to more robust commercial activities, projects as well as the launch of possible joint business alliances.
During the meeting, Sheikh Khalid bin Thani also stressed the important role of QBA in encouraging commercial projects in the US and Qatar.
