doha; The residents of Qatar have lauded the air show by Qatar Air Force (Mohammad Bin Al Atyya Air College - Al Zaeem) to honour healthcare professionals.
The aircraft had a fly-by over Hamad General Hospital and Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital. The air show was an initiative to salute frontline and other healthcare professionals and express gratitude for their role in combating coronavirus pandemic in Qatar.
A number of social media users commented and reacted on the initiative saying healthcare staff are exposing their health to danger in order to provide treatment for us. “They deserve to be greeted as heroes”.
“Frontline and other healthcare workers ... appreciated,” commented Shibabudeen on the initiative.
Another said it was a “nice way to appreciate healthcare staff .. this will surely motivate them.”
The air show was aimed to pay tribute to healthcare professionals for their dedication and efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and care for patients infected with the virus.
For his part, Hamad, another social media user, commented: “They deserve the salutation and encouragement, May God give them wellness. We should also help them by adhering to precautionary measures to limit the spread of coronavirus.”
“Big respect for our real heroes,” another person tweeted.
