Qatar National Flag with 250,000 flower plants is seen in front of the main podium for the celebrations of Qatar National Day on the Corniche.
Doha: The Public Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment has made Qatar National Flag with 250,000 flower plants in front of the main podium for the celebration of Qatar National Day on the Corniche.
The national flag made of flower is 110 square meters long and 18 meters wide, spanning in an area of about 2,000 square meters. The Public Parks Department used about 250,000 flower plants of Petunia including 90,000 white flowers and 160,000 burgundy coloured flowers to make Qatar National Flag on the Corniche.
The Department has also set up 20 flower towers and 130 hanging flowers along the Corniche Road, and decorated a number of other major venues of Qatar National Day celebrations in country such as Darb Al Saai and Katara Cultural Village.
