DOHA: Despite reporting a 3 percent increase in its sales, Qatar Electricity and Water Company’s net profits declined six percent on year-on-year basis.
The company’s financial statement for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 revealed it recorded a net profit of QR980m against QR1.04bn for the same period in 2011.
The nine months of 2012 witnessed an increase of QR3.44bn in sales against QR3.34bn in the corresponding period last year.
The Earnings per Share amounted to QR9.80 in 2012 compared to QR10.42 in 2011.
