Al Arabi trounce Al Ahli; Qatar SC defeat Al Sadd

DOHA: Al Arabi yesterday crushed Al Ahli 3-0 winning their Emir Cup clash without dropping a set. 
Backed by home fans, hosts Al Arabi won 25-20, 25-15, 25-21. 
In another clash, Qatar SC defeated Al Sadd 3-1 (27-25, 23-25, 25-20, 26-24).
Earlier on Wednesday, Police stunned Eljaish, while Al-Rayyan outclassed Al Gharafa at Al Arabi Indoor Halls.
After losing their opening match against Al Rayyan last Saturday, Police outplayed strong El Jaish for a comprehensive 24-26, 26-24, 26-24, 25-18 win.
On the other hand, Al Rayyan registered their second win beating Al Gharafa 25-12, 25-17, 25-17 in a one-sided affair.
According to a Qatar Volleyball Associations (QVA) statement, Khalid Ali Al Mawlawi, President of QVA addressed a group of budding players who were attending a training session.
Al Mawlawi addressed the players along with QVA Assistant Secretary General Yousef Kanu and coach Sharif Shemarli.
The QVA President congratulated the players to be part of the team and urged them ‘to comply by the rules of the game and give it utmost importance as they represent the future for the country and the sport’. The Emir Cup final will be held on May 25.
