Gaza: The death toll from Israel's ongoing assault on Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, has risen to 48,291 martyrs and 111,722 injured, the majority of whom are children and women.
In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that in the past 24 hours alone, hospitals in the Strip received seven martyrs, including six whose bodies were recovered from under the rubble and one more person killed, in addition to 13 injured individuals.
The ministry also highlighted that thousands of victims remain trapped beneath the debris of destroyed buildings.
A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel came into effect on January 19, but Israeli attacks on Gaza have not ceased entirely. The occupation forces continue to carry out sporadic operations, in blatant violation of the agreement.
