Doha, Qatar: Over the course of four consecutive days, the drag strip at Qatar Racing Club (QRC) witnessed the thrilling last two rounds of the Arabian Drag Racing League.

The event was held under the patronage of QRC Chairman H E Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani. QRC General Manager Sheikh Jabor bin Khalid Al Thani also attended action and crowned the podium winners.

The fifth round of the championship had been postponed over a week ago due to weather conditions, with the remaining events rescheduled to coincide with the sixth and final round.

In the car index categories, which are raced over a quarter-mile distance, new champions were crowned. Faisal Al Ahmad won the 9.00 Index category while as for the overall season championship, Fahad Khawari took home the title.

Meanwhile, Rakan Ali Al Ajmi won the 8.50 Index category with the season championship title for the category was awarded to Abdulaziz Al Suwailem.

As for the other car index categories competing over an eighth-mile distance, Hussein Al Maqsid won his first championship title in the 4.80 category, and in the 4.50 category, Abdulrahman Bouraba won his first title after defeating Mubarak Al Awad in the final. The season title in this category was highly contested and wasn’t decided until the final moments, with Ahmed Al Jahail securing the championship with the most points.

In the 4.00 category, Rashid Al Balooshi scored his second victory of the season. Finishing third in the round, Bader Khoursheed became the only racer in this category to finish all six rounds on the podium, earning him the season title in the end.

Meanwhile, the strongest category of the championship, the Super Street Pro, saw a third victory this season for Youssef Al Ali. With this win, Al Ali increased his podium count to six across six rounds, making him the undisputed champion of the current season. Notably, he also set a new time record for this category in the final round.

In the Super Street Outlaw category, the final also repeated the matchup from the previous round, with Turki Al Thufairi and David Rees competing again. This time, Al Thufairi avenged his loss to Rees in the last round. With Rees finishing second and achieving five podiums, including three first-place finishes, he was crowned the season champion.

In the Pro NA category, Ali Abbas Ibrahim claimed his third victory of the championship after defeating the previous round’s winner, Sayed Hussein Al Haddad. Khalid Al Khalidi finished in third place. With six podium finishes, Al Haddad claimed the overall title.

In the 6-Cylinder Import category, Ali Jumaa Al Khneizi secured his first-ever victory in the championship, defeating Mohamed Nawar Al Aghbar. Faisal Al Arab’s third-place finish in this round was enough to earn him the season title in this category for the current season.

In the bike competitions, Mishal Al Sabr claimed his fourth consecutive victory in the toughest category, the Pro Bike, by winning the final against Mohamed Al Awad. Al Sabr needed this victory along with a new record time to secure the season championship, and that is exactly what he achieved.

Following in Al Sabr’s footsteps, Mishari Al Turki managed to win both the final round and the season championship in the Super Street Bike category. He triumphed in the final over Ahmad Bin Bilal, repeating the same match up from the previous round, and securing his third victory in the championship.

In the Street Bike category, Mohamed Al Salem claimed his first-ever victory in the championship after defeating the previous round’s winner, Mustafa Mahmoudi, who clinched the overall title.

In the final bike category, the 8.5 Index, Ahmed Karam secured his second consecutive win, defeating Abdullah Al Khalidi. The season title in this category went to Nasser Bourbaa.

At the closing of the competitions, Saif Awad Al Mutairi, Director of Basel Salem Al Subah Motor Sports Club in Kuwait, and Fahad Al Elaaj, Secretary-General of the club, presented commemorative shields to H E Sheikh Khalid and Sheikh Jabor in recognition of their efforts in making the 2025 Arabian Drag Racing League a success.
