The All Qatar Universities Fair organised by Academic Bridge Program of Qatar Foundation (QF) attracted more than 700 visitors yesterday.

QF’s partner universities, other higher education institutes and different entities met with perspective students and informed them about the educational and other opportunities they provide.

The event held at the LAS (Liberal Arts and Sciences) building in Education City was open to the public, apart from Academic Bridge Program students, school counsellors, high school students, and others also attended.

“We wanted to introduce students different openings available at universities in Qatar. Since we are in Education City, we do promote QF partner universities among students. But not all students will go to QF campuses, so we brought in all universities in the countries. We also want to promote Academic Bridge Program among school students. So we invited about 25 schools,” Jacqueline Nottingham, College Cunselor, Academic Bridge Program told The Peninsula.

The Academic Bridge Program organises many university fairs yearly to insure students studying at the ABP are never in short of options and educational opportunities. In may 2018 Academic Bridge Program organised a fair with universities from places such as the US, Hong Kong, Germany and Switzerland offering different majors. In addition, students at the Academic Bridge Program constantly take advantage of other university fairs and visits organised specifically for them.

Academic Bridge Program is a premier a pre-university program under the umbrella of Pre-University Education at QF. Academic Bridge Program helps its students get admitted to universities in which programmes are taught in English and to be successful in their future studies.

Since it was established in 2001, more than 2,500 students, mostly Qatari high school graduates, but also students from over 30 other countries have graduated from Academic Bridge Program. Many have enrolled at one of the QF’s partner universities in Education City, at Qatar University, or at universities in the US or the UK.
