Doha: Over 25 parking spots, ambulances and around 35 food trucks on either sides of Corniche have been arranged on the Corniche for the Qatar National Day celebrations tomorrow informed the Department Director and Chairman of the QND2018 Security Committee.
The Security Committee held a press conference yesterday at the Establishments and Authorities Department where Brig Ali Khujaim Al-Adbi briefed on the security procedures.
At the meeting, he called on the public to be present ahead of time at the Corniche for the celebrations as the roads will be closed as early as 10am.
Brig Al-Adbi pointed out that the committee has equipped about 25 parking spaces for the public, near the exhibition centre close to Qatar Petroleum building along with parking of Sheraton, parking behind Qatar Club and near the Post Office.
He said that the committee has allocated Karwa buses to transport the public to and from remote parking lots and allocated some buses to families and people with special needs as well. Vehicles are allowed only for authorized persons.
The Organizing Committee has taken into consideration those citizens and residents who could not attend in time, for whom large screens would be placed in Al-Bidda Park and Al-Rayyan Park.
He called on the public to cooperate with security men and abide by their instructions to ensure the success of the security plan so that the public enjoy a pleasant time on a joyous national day.
The Committee has allocated places for families, the public and for people with special needs.
An office has been set up in the old building of MoI in the Corniche to deal with the missing children amidst the celebrations with the cooperation of Department of Public Relations, Juvenile Police and Community Police.
The map shows the services provided to the public such as parking lots, ambulances, food carts and other facilities to watch the national day parade at Doha Corniche on Qatar National Day.
