New Delhi: Senior officials from India’s oil and gas industry expressed their high esteem for RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) on the inaugural day of Petrotech 2012 being held in New Delhi.
Both the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and the Ministry Secretary paid a special visit to the RasGas stand at the exhibition inauguration where they expressed their keen interest in maintaining and growing India’s long-term relationship with Qatar’s RasGas.
During his visit, India’s Secretary to the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Chairman of Petronet LNG Limited, G C Chaturvedi said that India enjoys a long-standing relationship with RasGas which will continue well into the future. He added saying, “Our appetite for liquefied natural gas (LNG) is insatiable.”
“India’s rapidly growing economy comes with an increasing need for clean and secure energy. RasGas’ presence at Petrotech this year speaks to our commitment to meet the growing LNG demands of this key market,” said Ali Khalaf Al Kaabi, Long-term Sales Marketing Manager, who is leading the RasGas delegation.
The Petrotech Conference and Exhibition is a biennial event bringing together over 3,000 professionals from the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. RasGas is a silver sponsor for the event this year.
