Doha: The Maritime Customs Administration successfully thwarted attempt to smuggle in hashish at Ruwais Port.
The contraband was detected using an X-ray machine inside the back of a fruit container.
When it was opened, the competent authorities found 9 packets of cannabis which weighed a total of 8.4 kilograms.

The authorities have been issuing continuous warning against carrying illegal substances into the country.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to
read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
